Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, with profound impacts on livelihoods, ecosystems, and development gains. IRL’s research focuses on understanding the local and regional implications of climate change, particularly in vulnerable communities already facing humanitarian and development challenges. We explore adaptation strategies, disaster risk reduction, sustainable resource management, and community resilience models. Our studies highlight the interconnectedness of environmental sustainability with social and economic systems, emphasizing the need for integrated responses. By combining scientific evidence with community perspectives, IRL supports organizations in designing interventions that reduce vulnerabilities and enhance climate resilience. We also explore opportunities for promoting sustainable development pathways, from renewable energy adoption to green innovations in agriculture and water management. Our goal is to inform actionable strategies that not only address immediate risks but also build long-term resilience in line with global sustainability agendas.
